A portrayal of the famous opening scene from Stanley Kubrick's film Clockwork Orange. Alex and his 'Droogs' are on the prowl looking for trouble, and unfortunately come across a tramp sleeping in the subway.

The camera is inside the subway looking out, which produces the extended shadows that make this image so striking. Although shot in black and white, I have added yellow and orange, which I think is effective and appropriate.

Painted with oils onto canvas stretched over a wooden frame, Clockwork Orange measures 20" x 16" and costs only £67.
